Caplet, Hasselmans and more, performed by harpist Liza Rakovska in
the Elgar Room.

Liza Rakovska is a Ukrainian-born harpist currently studying
at the Royal College of Music in London under Ieuan Jones. A Neville Wathen
Scholar, Liza has won numerous prizes in competitions across Italy, the Czech
Republic, Croatia, Lithuania, Georgia, and Ukraine, and was awarded the EMCY
prize as an emerging young musician. She made her debut at age 13 in Italy,
winning first prize at the “Suoni d`Arpa” competition and receiving her first
harp from Salvi.
Liza has performed at prestigious venues such as Wigmore
Hall, Cadogan Hall, and the Royal Festival Hall, and has participated in
programs like the ENO Evolve Scheme and the BBC Symphony Orchestra Pathway
Scheme. She is a laureate of the Concertino Praga competition and has toured
the Czech Republic as a soloist. Liza has studied with renowned harpists
including Isabelle Perrin and Fabrice Pierre, continually expanding her musical
knowledge and artistic development.
